Dear Brothers:
Boot Camp is The 15 Association’s annual run to the country, taking place from Friday afternoon, June 20th to Wednesday morning, June 25th. We take over a beautiful Lake County resort (with cabins, bunk rooms or camping available as accommodations). We set up a great indoor playspace in one building (which was originally built as a ballroom), an outdoor playspace on the main lawn, a smaller indoor playspace is set up in a yurt behind the main lodge, and an outdoor, but sun-screened playspace near the resort’s pool and hot tub (both of which are available for Boot Campers’ enjoyment — it is usually a little cool in June for most to go swimming, but when it is warm enough, it is lovely and the hot tub is always welcome!
The play spaces are open 24 hours a day, although it is usually pretty chilly at night, which limits the outdoor play, and we ask that you have consideration for our campers, who may not want to kept out all night by the screaming of outdoor sessions. Also, there is a heated bathroom in the pool area with a central drain in the floor and a shower, which is ideal for water sports, even when it is chilly in the evenings!
The only things officially scheduled are the meals, which are excellent. We have a great chef, who feeds us like kings for breakfast, lunch and dinner during the run. The club also puts out snacks late in the evening, “midnight rations.” We also generally have single tail practice on the main lawn, often a piss pool party, and always a cocktail party before our sumptuous Wednesday night prime rib dinner.
The run fees cover housing, food, soft drinks and beer for the whole run (Saturday afternoon through Thursday morning).
There are also some annual activities, which are not officially scheduled, but nonetheless traditional (and optional). For many years we have had a Chain Gang on Saturday mornings. We have a few members who are former law enforcement and more that play the role well, who lead a gang of “convicts” around the grounds verbally and physically abusing them, while forcing them to pick up trash, etc. It is great fun. One cabin often throws a Saturday afternoon cocktail party. There is usually single tail practice on the main lawn one afternoon, where one can either learn new techniques from other campers, or serve as a target (depending on one’s role and/or mood).
The atmosphere is very relaxed, with an attitude of brotherly friendship pervading the proceedings.
Like our play parties, each guest is responsible for finding and negotiating their own play within their own limits. Some of the play at Boot Camp gets quite vicious and extreme (we have had brandings and blood regularly flows in many of the single tail scenes, etc.), but one doesn’t need to play that brutally to play at Boot Camp — limits and boundaries are respected and, again, should be negotiated clearly, especially when playing with new people.
Each Boot Camper is also expected to perform at least two-three work shifts during the run. Most of these work shifts take 1-2 hours at most, and include: cleaning up after meals; collecting garbage from cans around the property and replacing the liners; and running beverages and ice to the coolers we place strategically on the grounds.
The Guest Run Fees for Boot Camp are as follows: $1,300 for a space in a Private Room; $1,100 for a space in a Bunk Room; or $750 for a Camping space. Member Run Fees are $1,200 for a space in a Private Room; $1,000 for a space in a Bunk Room; or $650 for a Camping space. Private Room spaces go very fast, so the sooner you request one the better. While our entry level Bunk prices are somewhat higher than other runs, our Private Rooms spaces are much less expensive, and Boot Camp is different in that you can play 24 hours a day, and the level of privacy of the fantastic resort. Boot Camp is also longer than most comparable runs — five full days of play and debauchery, then time to get packed up, enjoy a final breakfast and hit the road!
Boot Camp is for 15 Association Members and their invited Guests only, so in order to participate in the Run, you would need to be sponsored by a Member who is attending.
If one needs help with obtaining a ride to and/or from the Run, you can request that we help you find one when you register. While we cannot absolutely guarantee a ride to everyone who requests one, it is very rare that we are not able to fulfill all requests made in a timely manner. If you do request and receive a ride, it is generally good etiquette to help your driver out with some gas money, but that is not a requirement.
I hope this gives you some idea of what Boot Camp is. If you have further questions, feel free to get back to me with them.

Please be aware that there is currently no on-site registration.
We used to have a laptop that people who were bringing guests who were not in our system could use to enter their vital information, and the Front Desk could then retrieve it and print a Release Form for them to sign. Unfortunately, we've had three laptops stolen within the past year, and are no longer equipped for doing on-site registration.
So, make sure your guests are registered in our system before coming to an event.
Our apologies, but this is non-negotiable.
Get out and play with your brothers! Mark your calendars for these upcoming 15 Association Play (and other) Events:
For Advance Ticket Recommended events, tickets can be purchased in advance on the website, but can also be obtained at the door if they are still available (however the only payment allowed is credit/debit card, i.e. no cash).
The Calendar on our website is more current than the Inquisitor.
This will be one of our sexiest parties of the year. This is the time to dress up or down, and plan the most photogenic scene you can think of. For the price of admission, you get the services of a professional photographer for 4 hours with all of the dungeon equipment. Need a new recon photo? Something for your personal files? This is the time. We are hosting our annual photography party. We will have a professional photographer working for you from 5–9pm. From 5–7pm the dungeon space will be open to photography, and from 7–9pm we will have a backdrop in the front room and professional lighting for sexy portraits.
Space is still available for our annual weekend June 20 – 25. Members can register online now. Guests will need a sponsor to attend.
Celebrate 35 years — Peter Fiske had an idea...BootCamp as an annual retreat of sorts, which built brotherhood and insight creativity in scene play. Some fantasies just aren’t possible at our monthly parties, but outdoors over a weekend the possibilities can be explored.

The 15 Association, one of the world’s oldest men’s BDSM organizations, has always been inclusive of trans men. Throughout the decades, we have sought to be more welcoming of all men in our community as the understanding of gender continues to evolve.
While preserving the affinity of male-centered spaces and masculine energy, The 15 commits to ensuring our events are welcoming of trans men and non-binary and intersex people who identify or present as masculine for the purposes of our events. The 15 additionally commits to educating our members to ensure they are informed and up to date on our inclusion policy.
The 15 unequivocally supports the freedom and rights of trans and gender-diverse people.
Congratulations to Bacilio on completing his title year as Mr. San Francisco Leather 2023, and the new Mr. San Francisco Leather 2025 Tracii Ross More!
And the winners are:
A new publisher, Safeword Press, is dedicated to re-publishing the works of authors in the Leather community who first published their books decades ago. They currently offer the book “Run, Little Leather Boy” by Larry Townsend. Next on their agenda is to re-publish other works by Larry Townsend, followed by other authors soon. www.safeword-press.com
There is a new organization dedicated to serving the needs of Veterans who are also in the Leather community. They can be found on Facebook and Instagram.
The soberleathermen.org website was born out of the desire to connect people to sobriety at leather events. While the focus is on gay leathermen, we hope that people of all gender identities will find the website helpful when navigating sobriety in leather spaces.

For those who are in recovery from addiction, there is a Zoom Leather Recovery group that meets several times a week. Not affiliated with AA/NA/Al-Anon and established over the pandemic, it is an open 12-step meeting for those who are in our community and wish to meet with and be supported by like-minded individuals who understand their kink & fetish interests and how those can interact with recovery.
To inquire, email zoomleatherrecovery@gmail.com for more information.
The group meets on:
